Hello again :)

Yes I am back. To explain my self; I had a scooter accident on my trip to Thailands highest mountain two weeks ago and on this accident I broke my thumb, so I was not really able to type. No worries I am fine and back to work for one week already but the cast kept me away from writing big stories.
Life around here is still very good. The hotel took very good care of me after the accident and I never felt like beeing left alone or overwhelmed by the situation. To honor this and to thank all the people that helped me, I decided to write a detailed blog about that day when it happened, but this will unfortunately be in German (my appologies). Anyways the trip was very nice until that happening and my camera luckily survived the crash so I will also post some pictures about the stunning landscapes of doi inhternon around here.
The hotel is quite empty after the peak months of February and March. I work at service senter at the moment and serve people with in-room dining, wake-up calls, all kinds of questions and coordinate the guest wishes to the matching departments. Kahtrin and I started planning our travel month in July and it makes me so excited, that I cannot wait eventhough I am having a great time right now as well. By the end of April we will go to Siem Reap in Cambodia to extend our Visa. As I am a member of Starwood, we are priviledged to stay at LeMeridien Siem Reap, a beautiful 5-Star facility with view to the Angkhor temple ( Tomb Raider movie ) for only 20€ per night and person.

Three days ago I sat in my room on the seventh floor after the shift and was reading an article about the earthquake in Japan. Suddenly the whole building startet shaking and groaning and I first thought this is kind of a bad joke of my imagination before I realized, that it was really happening. I think I must have turned pretty pale and jumped under my desk. The 6.8 earthquakefrom the mountains of Myanmar lasted some seconds and we had three big shocks in total. An expericence I d like to avoid in my future, but we experienced no damage and everything is fine here.

As I am unable to do trips a the moment, I will use my free days to write application letters for my second internship and enjoy reading and watch Formula one. A seperate blog together with the pictures of my trip will be published tomorrow.

Sawadeee so far and I hug you all

Christoph
