Chiang Mai - first impressions and Doi Sutheb

Hello again my beloved ones,

I am sorry for the long time I did not update this but as I was moved to another hotel due to overbooking I had to pay for the internet connection and therefore I waited til now.

I am more than fine in the country of smiles and after my first working days I can truly say that I am lucky to be here in terms of the hotel, the team and the country itself. I was sent arround the departments and worked three days each in housekeeping and the Royal Club Lounge, a special facility for the company's prefered and special guests. Today I was off again and took my time to relax and chill around the pool. Tomorrow I will visit a cultural hot spot about 30 km south from Chiang Mai. I will also move back to the Le Meridien and will show you my normal and my "guest" room in comparison.

On Wednesday my work at the front office starts and I am looking forward to get familiar with the check-in and booking system of the hotel chain.

The first pictures are about my trip to Doi Sutheb, a sacred temple in the mountains just outside the city. I went there by scooter and there trip itself was nearly as much fun as the visit itself. You have a beautiful view over the city and the nature is just amazing.
I have to catch a beer with my collegues so have a nice day everybody and I will be back tomorrow with pictures about both rooms and the daily happenings.

Byebye

Chris
