Thailand - the leisure part
Hey there followers,
after five months of hard work and education it is time to escape into the sun and enjoy the fun part of our internship. Since July, 3rd Kathrin and I are travelling from resort to resort and being tourists ourselves instead of serving them. On Koh ( Island ) Samui we stayed at a nice place some minutes away from the crowds and the city center. Our accommodation was unbelivable (pictures) and facing the beautiful beach. The island is beautiful and we explored it as much as possible during our four-day residence. Development level here very much depends on the touristic interest and attractivity. There are spots which you can easily compare to Ballermann 6 on Mallorca and a few kilometres farer you can hardly follow the sandy, rocky path ment as a street. The real joy are the locals and their food. Since starting to travel we hardly touched western food and getting a three-course dinner including beer and soda for five Euros makes it hard not to eat all day. It is low season and beaches and sites are abandonned so we have it all for us most of the time.
Yesterday we left Samui and took the ferry back to the mainland. Only half an hour away from the pier our next hotel was waiting in Khanom, a totally unexplored and rural village on the south-east coast. The Aava resort is a newly opened luxury resort that combines Thai and Scandinavian architecture, style and cuisine. After receiving a chilled welcome drink and a cool towel ( I am sweating from morning until sun set ) we were shown our room and it is again breath taking (detailed pictures will follow). The property is simply far from everything and we just enjoy tranqulity, reading, swiming and eating :). It s time for some fresh coconut and I will leave you for the beach now. I will tell you more soon and I look forward to see you within short time.
hugs and stuff
Chris
